James is a prize-winning singer-songwriter and innovative guitarist whose cinematic soundscapes inspire a sense of hopeful longing. His live performances have sold out stages from Seattle to San Diego, with crowds still shouting for one more song as the lights come up. He’s shared stages with Grammy-winner Shaggy, Reggae-heavyweights Turbulence, Dirty Heads, & Common Kings, and Jazz legends like Bucky Pizzarelli, John Stowell, and Russell Malone—who played with Diana Krall and Tony Bennett. Several times he loaded all his gear onto bicycles and toured the West Coast pedaling from town to town, sleeping in barns, playing for whoever gathered. The tours broke him and rebuilt him. He made a short film about one.James has decades of DJ and Production experience from weddings and private parties to podcasts and radio. His weekly Reggae radio show, Gold Timers, is syndicated around the USA. Right now he’s based in Oregon, though his gear stays packed.
